A new transatlantic cyber business network has been launched. Our mission is to encourage and facilitate greater dialogue, collaboration and thought leadership on cyber security business issues between the US and UK.

The US and the UK already enjoy the strongest and most longstanding relationship on cyber security of any two nations in the free world. Between them, these two countries also support the world’s largest bilateral market for cyber security, with over 5,000 cyber companies currently operating in the US, the UK or both. In fact, most cyber companies with an international presence will be operating in one or both of these markets.

This is a very large transatlantic business community, working to address some of the most serious threats to global peace and prosperity. Through the Transatlantic Cyber Security Business Network, we aim to provide a strong collective voice for the transatlantic cyber business community and unleash its combined power to help combat the ever-increasing global cyber threat.

To launch this new initiative, please join us for a free one-hour discussion on the 13th of May at 3pm where we will expand on the mission of the Transatlantic Cyber Security Business Network and host the first of a series of thought leadership panel discussions: “How can industry and government work more effectively together to combat the global cyber threat?”

To discuss this momentous challenge, a panel of transatlantic cyber leaders with extensive experience of industry and government will share their thoughts on the current situation and the challenges and opportunities for further co-operation and collaboration between industry and government.

Panel Moderator: Maggie Titmuss - Director of Intelligence and Incident Response at Lloyds Banking Group, former Regional Head for North America at the UK National Crime Agency

Confirmed Panellists:

• Robert Hannigan - Chairman of Blue Voyant International, former Director of GCHQ

• Alastair Paterson - CEO of Digital Shadows

• Shawn Henry - President, Services Division, and Chief Security Officer at CrowdStrike, and former Executive Assistant Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation

• Sean Plankey - Director of Cyber Missions for DataRobot and former Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response at U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)
