If you’ve worked in the Middle East, you are likely to have dealt with Simon Hosking, the Department for International Trade’s Cyber Security Industry Representative to the Gulf.

Simon’s secondment from BAE Systems into the role finishes at the end of September this year, and DIT are planning to launch a search for his successor in the Autumn once the Spending Review is finalised.

The position, which is currently based in the British Embassy in Dubai, promotes all UK cyber companies in the Gulf, taking advantage of larger HMG relationships with government and CNI.

If members you would be interested nominating someone for the role when it goes live and want more detail, get in touch with [email protected].

It is a 1+1 year secondment, part-funded by DIT up to a ceiling, and will be recruited through www.civilservicejobs.service.gov.uk
