Briefing: Horizon Europe 2021-27
(Time: 11.00-12.30)
On Thursday 18 March, techUK is hosting an exclusive member briefing on the Horizon Europe Programme in collaboration with Innovate UK (IUK). This is an opportunity for members to learn about the funding opportunities available under Horizon Europe and how it can help support the development of new innovative ideas, products and services. techUK will be joined by National Contact Points (NCP’s) from IUK representing two of the HE Cluster areas; Digital, Industry & Space and Civil Security for Society.
What is Horizon Europe?
Horizon Europe is the new EU research and innovation programme, and the largest transnational programme ever, which will have a budget of approximately €95.5 billion for 2021-2027. It follows Horizon 2020, an EU initiative active from 2014 to 2020. As agreed in the UK-EU trade deal in December 2020, the UK will associate to the Programme, which will give UK scientists, researchers and businesses access to funding under the programme on equivalent terms as organisations in EU countries. Horizon Europe aims to boost growth, trade and investment and to create a significant social and environmental impact.
What will be covered?
The National Contact Points from IUK will brief techUK members on the main opportunities offered via the Horizon Europe Programme, which is expected to launch in April 2021. The event will cover the following subject areas:
