The CheckPoint x CyberNorth Cyber Leader Summit brings together security leaders, innovators and decision-makers for an afternoon of insight, discussion and networking focused on the future of AI, cyber security and quantum computing. Taking place as part of the TechNext Festival in Newcastle, the event is designed for those navigating today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape, and is built around a single organising challenge: how to secure your AI transformation with strategic clarity, real-world expertise and practical execution.

The afternoon programme combines keynote talks, panel discussions and interactive sessions, drawing on expertise from across industry, government and emerging technology sectors. Topics span the latest threats, trends and strategies shaping the cyber landscape, with particular attention to the sectors driving innovation across the North East economy, including maritime, defence, space and renewables. The format is designed to give attendees the clarity, tools and connections needed to move confidently into the remainder of 2026.

Lunch and refreshments are provided, and dedicated networking time is built into the programme throughout the afternoon. The event then leads directly into the wider TechNext Festival celebrations in the evening, offering an extended opportunity to connect with the regional cyber and technology community.
