Cyber Security Skills in the North East and Employment Opportunities
Webinar Time: 15.00 - 16.00
A lack of skilled cyber security professionals is often given as a reason for holding businesses back from growth. Throughout February and March, with the help of the cyber security, learning and public sectors, CyberNorth with DCMS have held a series of round table events to identify issues that can support employment in the North East’s cyber security sector. The aim of these sessions was to:
1. Gain a better understanding of the issues that are affecting employment in the North East’s cyber security industry.
2. Test this understanding against the key segments within the cyber security market, schools, universities, businesses, local and national government.
3. Promote national initiatives to address skills shortages, such as CyberFirst.
This information will allow CyberNorth to better target its efforts on improving employability in the region’s cyber security sector. It will also act as a template for other clusters to address their own region’s issues.
In this final session of the series, join us to learn what we have found and what we can do to make the most of these opportunities. If you are an employer, working in cyber security; you work in the learning sector; or are interested in a career in this exciting and growing area, then this session is for you.
This webinar is free to attend and is open to everyone including SMEs to help support business innovation.
