Transforming cyber insurance with proactive defence, shared intelligence and resilient leadership

With each large cyber-attack, there is a subsequent focus on the need for cyber insurance and for organisations to demonstrate they have resilience built into their organisational protection. To underwrite customer organisation requirements, insurers must also embrace the latest in proactive defence and innovation. AI-driven analytics, red/purple teaming and integrated risk frameworks to deliver resilience to the insurance industry.

But of course, cybersecurity isn’t just about protection, it’s also about application. Leveraging threat data and claims insights effectively can transform risk management and strengthen defences industry-wide – and collaboration is key.

SASIG will explore how insurers can share intelligence and design modern security programs to meet emerging challenges and embed resilience in their systems, processes and people. The human factor becomes particularly important when we look at how military thinking and innovative leadership can reshape security. Personal resilience for CISOs is key, especially in the light of recent events where the attention has shifted from technical failure to personal CISO liability in the aftermath of an incident.

All SASIG events operate under the Chatham House Rule and there is no charge to attend. All applications will be reviewed, and a confirmation email with full venue details will be sent to those who are eligible shortly before the event. Event hosts will kindly provide lunch and refreshments. SASIG Members are warmly invited to a networking gathering afterwards.
