techUK Cyber Skills & Diversity

The challenges the UK cyber security sector faces in both attracting and retaining enough talent and fostering diversity across the sector are longstanding and well documented. Over the last 12 months, we have seen cyber security drive growth and underpin all the technologies we have increasingly relied upon at home and at work. Across the sector, we have seen some hugely successful initiatives accelerate, such as CyberFirst, and future long-term commitments such as the launch of the UK Cyber Security Council.

This techUK event will bring together representatives from across Government, the cyber security industry and experienced skills professionals to explore the progress to date and highlight those persistent challenges we still need to tackle. The focus will be on how Government and industry can further collaborate, avoiding duplicate efforts and partnering to develop further innovative schemes which will build on the efforts undertaken to date.
