UK-Philippines Cyber Security Forum
The growing strategic relevance of the ASEAN region, including the Philippines, makes it a prime target for cyberattacks. The growth in trade, capital flows, and cyber linkages between the Philippines and other countries implies that its cyber threat landscape will become even more complex in the future, further escalating its cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
Cyber resilience in the country is currently low. Therefore, the banking industry in the Philippines has been looking for better cyber security technologies and solutions to protect financial systems in the country.
Given the UK’s experience and capabilities in cyber security, it is envisioned that the National Cyber Security Centre, the UK’s think tank and implementer of cyber strategies and programmes, may be able to share valuable insights and ideas on how the Philippines may tackle cyber challenges affecting the country.
This forum would also be a venue for UK cyber security companies to share their innovative technologies and proven solutions as they explore potential collaborations with local banks and related organisations in the Philippines.
Participating UK companies will have a rare chance to showcase their innovative cyber solutions to senior level managers of major banks and relevant government officials of the Philippines.
