This repository, put together by techUK and the Department for Digital, Culture Media and Sport, identifies a range of free to access online cyber security training courses and wider skills content, which are freely accessible for all UK citizens.

These courses cover a wide range of topics and experience levels and are aimed at those looking to enter a cyber security career or those already in the industry seeking to develop their skill set. During this period of COVID-19 disruption, it is hoped that the repository can support anyone looking to upskill, who might be looking to change career or someone just looking to improve awareness or understanding around cyber security.

Using the Repository

  • All courses are free to access online for at least 90 days.
  • The courses and materials detailed below have not been centrally vetted by either techUK or DCMS and is provided by individual organisations.
  • We have sought to categorise by skills level based entirely on the third-party providers own descriptions. There are three levels, Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.
  • This is by no means an exhaustive list, and the intention is to continuous update and improve the repository regularly.

Government and industry will continue to work together through the Cyber Growth Partnership, alongside the UK Cyber Security Council, to ensure increasing numbers of individuals can access potential cyber security opportunities and careers. Through this we will also be exploring how the cyber security industry can support those whose jobs and careers have been affected by COVID-19.
