The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) runs the CyberFirst Girls' Competition to encourage more girls to consider Computer Science as an option at school and as a potential future career path.

Technology is shaping our world. Jobs in cyber are waiting to be filled. And the sector needs more #women. 👧🏿👧🏼👩🏽👩👧🏽

As we all rely more on social media, online shopping, and online services as part of our everyday lives, we need the right talent in place to protect us from online threats. This competition helps identify the talent of the future to fill the skills gap in cyber security.

Introducing the CyberFirst Girls’ Competition…

This competition is designed for girls and those identifying as female in Year 8 in England and Wales, Year 9 in Northern Ireland, and S2 in Scotland to introduce girls to cyber security, why it matters, and to show them where it could take them in the future.

CyberFirst, together with the National Cyber Security Centre, are inspiring a new generation to find their feet in tech.
