We are delighted to share that a United Kingdom chapter of the Women4Cyber Foundation has officially launched. Women4Cyber is a non-profit European private foundation that promotes, encourages and supports the participation of women in cyber security a field where female representation remains significantly below where it needs to be. The establishment of Women4Cyber United Kingdom (W4C UK) marks an important step in bringing that mission to life at a national level, with a focus on strengthening partnerships, advancing diversity and creating real impact for the UK cyber security community.
The chapter has been established with an inspiring Board and Advisory Board, including Sabika Ishaq (President), Claire Harrison and Lisa Migheli (Vice Presidents), Phillipa Phipps (Secretary General) and Karo Voss (Head of Communication), alongside Advisory Board members Jane Frankland MBE and Dr Clare Johnson. Each chapter operates independently while following the mission and guidelines of the Foundation, led by local experts who understand the unique dynamics of their country’s cyber security landscape.
W4C UK joins a growing network of 33 national chapters working collectively to build a more inclusive and resilient cyber security community. This is just the beginning, and the more people who know about it, the better.
