Korea Integrated Security Alliance: R&D Collaboration Opportunity for UK Cyber Companies
The Department for Business and Trade and KISIA (Korea Information Security Industry Association) are inviting UK cybersecurity companies to explore joint R&D collaboration opportunities under the Government R&D-based Korea Integrated Security Alliance (KISA).
Backed by the Korean Government through MSIT and IITP, the initiative brings together consortiums of cybersecurity companies to co-develop and validate solutions for international markets, with a current focus on the United States, Indonesia, and the Middle East. Projects span three core technology areas:
- AI-based security and threat detection
- Data protection using homomorphic encryption
- Managed cybersecurity platforms including SOC, IAM, and XDR
Proven use cases have already been deployed across healthcare, smart cities, and national infrastructure, with validated results in medical data security, mega-city infrastructure, and national energy systems.
Each consortium works in partnership with local universities, certification bodies, and distribution partners in target regions, offering UK companies a structured route into new markets alongside established Korean counterparts.
UK companies interested in joining the alliance within this year are encouraged to get in touch with project lead Jongan Kim directly for further information on eligibility and participation.
