UKCSC launch the Associate Cyber Security Professional Title

The UK Cyber Security Council has launched the Associate Cyber Security Professional (ACSP) title, a new entry-level professional registration for those starting out in cyber security
The UK Cyber Security Council has launched a new entry-level professional title, designed for those at the start of their careers in cyber security. The Associate Cyber Security Professional title is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated the technical knowledge, skills and professional behaviours needed to succeed in an early cyber career role.
Becoming an Associate Cyber Security Professional allows individuals to join the UK Cyber Security Professional Register. This means that they will become a professionally registered cyber security professional with the UK Cyber Security Council. They will also be able to use the post-nominals ACSP after their name.
Much like in sectors such as law, accounting or engineering, joining the UK’s Cyber Security Professional Register demonstrates to employers and peers that an individual meets a unified, Government-backed standard of competence, professionalism and ethics. It also signifies a commitment to developing their career through continued professional development and an understanding of high professional standards. Associate is the first of four professional cyber security titles, which charts an individual’s progression throughout their cyber security career.
